Throughout my professional life, I have experienced the Media from all sides: as a working actress in television, film, and stage, as a reporter and TV news anchor, as a morning-drive radio personality, and as a host with News/Talk radio.  While working in Media is fascinating and a calling of mine, it falls short of Platform Speaking.  This is because the Media uses “trade tools” to impart information.  For you to receive information, a variety of tools come out of the tool box: lights, cameras, scripts, headphones, costumes, computers, directors, producers, engineers, designers, stage hands, board operators, assistants, floor directors…just to name some.  Whew!   A whole lot of multi-tasking going on.
