October 9, 2007  A CLEAR CAREER
I drank the Kool-aid when Marion Jones took "The Clear".  
Yup, I believed her when she told the whole world she believed "The Clear" was flax seed oil.  I believed her because she was very convincing and because she told us she was clean over and over again--for years.  And because everybody else believed her too.  Even the Feds for awhile.  She was, after all  TIME magazine's cover girl after she won five medals--three gold--in track and field at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.  In 2004 she told the world again that she was clean at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field trials in Sacramento.   But the BALCO investigation uncovered evidence that she had used performance-enchancing drugs.  She denied this saying she ne ...
